Welcome to North Chattanooga "Then and Now"

This website is a diverse collection of photos of North Chattanooga then and now. The photos are as diverse as the North Chattanooga Neighborhood itself is. Here you will find a little taste of the old with all the flavor of the new.

Hill City has grown so much over the years and will continue to do so for many years to come. We hope you will enjoy taking our look at North Chattanooga "Then and Now".

I would like to thank the following people and publications for the materials used in the making of this website.

Alma Webb, the late Paul Hiener, Chattanooga "Yesterday and Today", the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Bicentennial Library, the Chattanooga Times Free, the Chattanooga News Free Press, John Wilson and everyone else who contributed to this website.

   North Chattanooga "Then and Now"

This Website is intended to present a visual journey to the heart of Hill City. Later named North Chattanooga and sometimes referred to as North-side or as known today as the North Shore, this will forever be Hill City.

We hope you will enjoy this tour of Chattanooga's North side
